Chairman’s report from the Exmouth Town Council meeting 11 November 2019
Roy and I sat in the 'public gallery' for Monday’s Town Council meeting. It was good to see that the Town Council adopted the Neighbourhood Plan Implementation Strategy last night, so there is now a clear way ahead on delivering the plan. See their website for more details about the Plan https://www.exmouth.gov.uk/exmouth-neighbourhood-plan/.
The Council also agreed by a large majority to put up the funding requested by Devon County Council towards the Dinan Way Extension, although recognising the environmental issues and road safety concerns for those living north of the existing road. So there is light at the end of the tunnel at last.
Pauline Stott’s project to provide some beach wheel chairs for the RNLI patrolled section of the sea front was also endorsed. Pauline’s video will be on YouTube shortly and she will be launching Crowdfunding to help meet the costs. https://www.exmouth.gov.uk/councillors/pauline-stott-2/
There was clearly an air of anticipation over the Hemingway Design presentations at LED Ocean this week. https://www.exmouth.gov.uk/a-vision-for-queens-drive-exmouth/. We hope to see you there!
